National Bank of Kuwait Headquarters is not just about the need to build taller, it's a story of heritage and who they are. The iconic seashell design from Foster + Partners and engineering by Buro Happold, is an expression of Kuwait's economical progress evolved through several stages. The buildings position has been carefully placed along the path of the sun with 28 accentuating vertical external pillars rising 981 feet from the base to the crown, providing not just structural support but shading for internal areas. The building features sustainable and innovative office space, 63 floors varying in size and form totalling 1,360,000 square feet of areas, and environment-friendly operating systems making it a perfect example of green buildings and sustainable modern architecture.
